Ok, I'm 13. My parents are very strict, it took a lot of convincing to just get my ears pierced. I want to gather ALL my information before I come forward and ask them. I want my lip pierced, REALLY bad. The ring, on the bottom left or right. Yes, I know everybody has a different "pain tolerance", I just would like to hear the general pain it causes. I HATE getting shots, for me they hurt SO bad. Getting my ears pierced (with a gun) didnt hurt, I was just kind of in shock after. I live in Michigan, near Detroit, so any help/ideas on where to go too? Care instructions? How expensive? My A,unt and Uncle are both tattoo artists, but I dont think they do piercings. I dont want to hear how I shouldnt do this, that its wrong, gross, Im to young, etc etc etc. Thank you SOOOOOO much, 10 stars for any good help!!!!
Oh, and I wear fake ones, so I know what it will look like.

Adolescent: which piercing should i get?

so my sixteenth is nearing (just a week from tomorrow, augh i'm getting old!) and i wanted to get an ear piercing (not lobe) for my birthday, as well as auburn hair. The last part is besides the point, but my mother is 100% okay with hair dye (i've had green, magenta, purple). I asked about the piercing and she said we could discuss it. Knowing my mother, that means that she's thinking about it but leaning towards yes. I was split between a few different piercings.

I WOULD get a helix of any of these types: auricle ( Click Here ), pinna( Click Here ) or forward pinna( Click Here ) because they're kind of the generic "odd piercing" but everyone at my school is getting them so it wouldn't be... special. you know?

i would also like either of these piercings: daith( Click Here ), rook( Click Here ), or tragus: Click Here )

so, my questions are:
1) out of the two groups (helix or the last three) which would you recommend for a sixteen year old girl with the sides of her head shaved and a tendency to dress like a 90s grunge star?
2) in whichever group that you choose, which out of the three would you recommend for the same girl?

Is there a limit to how many piercings you can get at one time?

I was talking to a friend of mine and he said that if you get too many piercings at once then they won't last. His logic was that the swelling would keep them from healing and when you changed them they would close. However none of my ear piercings have ever swelled at all and I keep studs in all the time so I don't know why there would be a problem. I feel like he's full of crap but I'm not sure

How long should I wait until I get a Snake Bite piercing after my Chemo Radiation?

Since I'm not needle phobic anymore and I've been battling Cancer since September and I'm done with regular Chemo and then it's Radiation for about a month, I know I can't have any metal objects on me but as soon as this is over I want to get Snake Bite piercings how long should I wait until after my Radiation?

I just got my ears pierced on thursday by a friend, She did it with the earring itself (some small hoops) The earring was sterile though. I've been cleaning them with alcohol every night but there's dry blood on the very back and they're kinda sore. I just accidentally hit my left earring it hurts when I touch it.

I have a question about lip piercings?

Okay, so i pierced my lip about 10 minutes ago, i just put a normal silver stud in it. I also bought a clear stud for my lip but i think it is thicker than the earring i have in now. So my questions are how to i put that in without it hurting? Should i wait like a week? If i dont put the clear stud in how do i keep this stud from being seen by my parents. Also how long will the swelling take to go down? or how can i make it go down faster? Thanks

I HATE my step dad....?

So I really need to vent.
So my step dad is lazy, rude, dramatic, mean, unfair, and almost the worst man I know. He doesn't have a job, and doesn't even look for one. He sits at home all day long and my mom does all the working. When it comes to my sister he just spoils her to death. and she has to do is scream and she gets her way. And she isn't young. Shes 10 years old going on like 30. If she doesn't get her way he will no matter what find a way to give her whatever she wants. But if I *NEED* something, Oh well I don't deserve it. Even though I get straight A's on every report card since kindergarten, I've never missed a ballet practice, I'm in advanced classes even though i've already been bumped up a grade, I have the most respect a teen could have for adults and I do every little thing I'm told. My step dad is always adding in little comments when it comes to me. Calling me a brat or calling me names. Saying things that are just absurd. Like yesterday, earlier in the morning I asked my mom when we were getting internet for our new house. She said she doesnt know. later on at lunch my sister began complaining about not having internet. my step dad slams him hands on the table stands up and screaming "DANYELLE IS F*CKING RUNNING HER MOUTH!" my sister looks at him and is all "uhm no i just want to get on facebook" and then he looks at her and demands her to tell him that I told her to say that. Just now, I asked if anyone else was having internet problems, i asked my mother, though my step dad decides to step in and say "YOU JUST WANT EVERYTHING. YOU CANT ANSWER ANYTHING FOR YOURSELF CAN YOU. SELFISH BRAT." Now as a little girl I wanted my step dad to like me so much. I tried everything. I would be nice and compliment and I'd draw him photos and he'd always just hit me or scream at me. he stopped hitting me when i threatened to tell on him. but hes still just a nasty vile man to me and i dont understand why. I gave up on trying to make him like me. I gave up on talking to him. I dont even want to live here anymore because of him. he makes fun of me. and he calls me fat names or tells me that my piercings will make me fail in life and that i wont amount to anything. i feel like he's ruining my life and I dont know what to do.

i just got new neighbors and i know one is a girl, for sure! i see the boobs, lol! but she dresses really tom-boy-ish and has a high pitched preppy voice...but the other one im not so sure what gender they are, honestly...but (s)he has feminine facial features, wears eyeliner, but wears baggy clothes, and has very short hair and piercings...i haven't heard his/her voice yet, but i am just curious to know!!! what do you think?

Am I cleaning my navel piercing correctly? Is it meant to sting?

I'm concerned about my belly piercing- I don't want it to get infected, but I usually am fine with piercings and looking after them. I got it done roughly 5 days ago, and it's a light pinkish red around the hole. When I clean it, I use the spray I recieved from the piercing place to treat it, and I get a cotton bud and spray it on it, then use the bud to wipe around the piercing bar from any crusty bits (there hasn't really been any) but afterwards, it will sting when I sit down. Is that natural? :O

I have decided that I am going to join the National Guard, and have two questions.
1.I know I need to lose quite a bit of weight and have not talked to a recruiter because I don't want to waste their time. I am eating in smaller portions, and eating more fruits and veggies. But I wanted to now what type of exercises I need to do in order to lose weight and prepare for the 10-week training.
2.I know I have to get rid of my piercings, but I have 3 tattoos on my legs, do I need to get them removed?

I have an inverse vertical labret (think vertical labret but reversed, with the barbell going through the lip) and I've just been invited to my friend's sweet sixteen. Her theme is neon/glow in the dark/uv light. I really want my piercing to stand out on my lip, but I can't find any online stores that sell a glow in the dark balls for piercings. I'm a 14 year old girl, and I have both my lopes pierced, and I'd love to get more piercings. I really want get a nose piercing, but my school only allows ear piercings, so that's out of the question until sixth form. All the girls at my school are getting loads of cartilage piercings right up their ears, but I'd like to do something a little different. Any recommendations? :)
